OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

MICROLAB @ Prague Microfestival, 18-21 May 2017

For whom?

Students at MA, BA, and PhD levels are kindly invited to apply for the first MICROLAB – an experimental conference of literary research, taking place May 18-21 at Skautsky Institut on Old Town Square.

What?

MICROLAB is part of the Prague International Microfestival, an annual festival of poetry and the arts in its ninth year, presenting the best of contemporary experimental and intermedia poetry. MICROLAB is an experimental space dedicated to literary innovation, new practices, and perspectives. It is designed for students and other young researchers to test out their ideas, receive feedback, and present their research to an international audience.

The themes for this year’s MICROLAB are:

  • Prague as a literary/cultural petri dish. Prague is a jelly of diverse cultures and influences, nourishing a variety of intertexts and cross-cultures to grow, spread, and multiply for multidisciplinary use. Researchers are invited to place this under the microscope.
  • Experiments and innovations in approach and practice. MICROLAB seeks literary scientists to dissect the future of literature and current innovations in cultural and literary practice. We also welcome the results of your own cutting-edge experiments in the arts.

How?
